Reinforcement
#2 is really not needed unless you need a new one for some
reason. This part reinforces the upper portion of the bumper.
The reason why you don't need it is because the stock bumper
already has one. Also the grille pieces you can probably get
somewhere else for a cheaper price. I decided to get the entire
RC kit which was about $477 w/o shipping.
If you're interested in the kit you can grab it from Jeff
at orders@speedtoys.com or you can go to a Toyota dealer and
purchase the parts there.
This
is one of the few mods available directly from Toyota. There
is a bit of a debate going on about its name. Some call it
the RC/CS bumper. RC for Rally Car and CS after the Spanish
driver Carlson Saintz who won a rally championship with the
all trac (gt-four). Either one should be correct but for all
purposes it will be called the RC bumper here.
It
is a good idea to paint the bumper before putting it on. Allow
enough time for you to have your car inactive. You could bump
into a few obstacles that might take longer to solve.
If
you don't feel like reading this write-up and would like to
see images you can go here RC
