Earthquake Shakes San Diego County and Southern California
An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 7.2 centered 16 miles from Mexicali shook San Diego County on a quiet and sunny Easter afternoon at 3:40pm, According to news reports, that same area in had been experiencing earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 for the past week. As I’m writing this. the aftershocks keep coming as my monitor shakes. This is common sense, but since its the “least common thing in the world,” the experts interviewed on the news channels advise to remove yourself from any buildings or homes that are structurally unsound.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck at 3.40 p.m. in Baja California, about 108 miles east-southeast of Tijuana.
